Obama ‘uppity'? This is bait we shouldn't bite.
Today, Republican Lynn Westmoreland calls Obama ‘uppity' and when asked if that was on the record, repeated the charge.

This may be big news, and I hope it is. But please, don't fall for this crap. Let the media chew on it. We should not.
They want Obama (and us) to cry racism, because their sexism gambit is losing steam fast. They are begging us to grab on to this. Don't do it. Let's not fall for their little trap.
We know this is how they feel about Obama, so there is no need for outrage on our part. Hopefully the media will do their job and let the rest of America know this is how Republicans feel.

At first glance, I thought you were dead wrong. But the Obama campaign has responded without noting the racial tinge. Instead, they put the focus on replying to the elitist charge, with a press release mentioning McCain's "8 glass houses."
Racial polarization will not help Obama.

I do not think this is an accidental comment by the Republicans at all. They are too good at using code to speak so blatantly all the sudden.
The media has picked up on the Palin whining meme, and the Republicans are dying to have a response to that. Let's not give it to them.
Obama team is wise on this one. The houses meme is a thousand times stronger than crying racism. As silly as that sounds to me as I'm writing it, it's true.

It is said by many that the race never begins until after Labor Day.
If anyone thinks this is bad...they're just getting started.

I agree Obama should not run on the racism gluetrap. I think he need to take the Republican party to task for their propaganda that they are the party of everyday Americans. Nearly all of the people who charged that Obama is an elitist at the convention are from elite backgrounds themselves. Also none of these people really talked in detail about the struggles of hardworking Americans.
