Obama: If you can't beat them, call them names
Today, Obama called McCain's economic plan a "cracker jack plan." He has called Republicans "ignorant." McCain a "liar." Small town Americans "bitter." And, some believe that he has implied that those that oppose him are racists. "Did I mention he's black?" (See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4bx-c...)
As put by Peter Karsinow on The Corner:
"As Seth Liebsohn notes below, Obama calls those who have pointed out his false explanations regarding his Born-Alive vote liars. Obama has a penchant for pejoratives unique among modern presidential candidates. Last week he called Republicans "ignorant." Several times during the campaign he's implied that his opponents are racist. Earlier he derided rural, blue collar Americans as bitter, bible-clinging, gun-toting racist xenophobes. Meanwhile, he yelps at imaginary slights directed at him: yesterday, he once again complained about Republicans questioning his patriotism."
Yes, this is change we can believe in. Name calling all over again.
The good old days. Just like George Bush calling people that opposed him "unpatriotic," whole countries "evil", and others just "evil doers," or "Islamo fascists." One of his best was calling Kim Jong Il a "pygmy."
Name calling worked so well for Bush in winning the hearts and minds of the world, Obama is using name calling in his home cooking. I can't wait to see the global version of this form of domestic diplomacy.

So this is where the HuffPo trolls have gone? What a crock of shit. Cite one example, ONE, to a credible publication, wherein Senator Obama called those who don't support him racist. Cite one. Cite your authority for Obama calling all republicans "ignorant."
Oh, and by the way, John McCain is a liar. Everyone, including Obama, should be saying so, and using the specific word.
How much did you get paid for this weak-ass post?

The specific pay level has yet to be decided by Paulson.

Ah, honky pleeeeeeeeeease....
He could have called McCain worse than a "cracker" liar with a "jacked" up plan and that would be just fine with me.
He could call McCain a "wuss" or a "cuckold" or Cindy's cabana boy. He could have just called McCain "stupid" or a "doofus" but he didn't. And if he called him "ignorant," the shoe fits, because someone who exudes "ignorance" is:
McCain is willfully ignorant of anything even faintly resembling fact. And one can easily apply the theological definition to McCain. Here is a man running for the most important job in the country who feels it is acceptable -- no, his duty -- to lie to the people he wants to serve as they judge him on his competence to do the job. Ignorant is mild for the names I have for him.
Got anything else, D. Lindley Young? McCain is lucky he hasn't met up with me face-to-face. A colostomy bag would be the least of his new accessories.

Honey, I think you're on the wrong forum. You want the one over there, under the bridge, over where the 3 billy goats live.

D. Lindley Young. Stop it.
You know in your heart of hearts that Obama has never called anyone a "gun-toting racist xenophobe."
You know this.
It is your first amendment right to distort, but it is also the epitome of selfishness, as well as unpatriotic to promote political junk for our fragile republic.
If you love America D. Lindley Young, stop lying.

As has been said...
"He really wants to play the association game?" http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/09/22/the-ad-campaign-obamas-chicago-in-mccains-eyes/ When Mike Signorile is outing http://signorile2003.blogspot.com/2008/09/hypocrisy-bombshell-antigay-john-mccain.html a member of his staff as gay? When there's so much out there that hasn't been used by Obama or reported by the press?
"He ain’t never been the same since Vietnam..." ('Out Come The Freaks' Was Not Was)
So let's go there. Let's go there now. http://www.vietnamveteransagainstjohnmccain.com/cin_WARTS%20AND%20ALL.htm
What McCain is really afraid of http://www.democrats.com/john-mccain-married-to-the-mob http://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/2000-02-17/news/haunted-by-spirits/full http://www.mattwelch.com/archives/2007/12/23-week/ http://tpmcafe.talkingpointsmemo.com/talk/2008/03/will-the-media-ever-talk-about.php http://www.kffl.com/forums/showthread.php?p=4038327 is that a paper like the NYTimes or Washington Post will finish the stories about Jim Hensley - McCain's deceased father in law - and the Arizona organized crime circles http://www.inteldaily.com/?c=173&a=7884 http://www.democrats.com/john-mccain-married-to-the-mob http://tiodt.blogspot.com/2006/12/married-to-mob.html http://montereycountydemocrats.org/node/415 that gave McCain his power and wealth.
Or more to the point, that all that barbecue got them to forget Keating Five.
Oh wait...Jonathan Alter just brought it up on cable. That genie is coming out of the bottle...
Keating Five, http://www.thenation.com/doc/20081006/keating_video Keating Five, http://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/1989-11-29/news/mccain-the-most-reprehensible-of-the-keating-five/1 Keating Five.
But it's the Arizona crime circles that connect to the murder of Arizona Republic reporter Don Bolles. Who was covering a story related to abortion. And McCain's running mate made women pay for their rape kits, reported today on CNN. http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/09/21/palin.rape.exams/index.html And that same running mate is so anti-abortion that she would allow incest over abortion.
And there's more...there's that great piece in The Nation about how John McCain worked to keep information from families of POWs. http://www.nationinstitute.org/p/schanberg09182008pt1 And lest we forget how he voted against medical care for returning veterans http://www.newsleader.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2008808240318 from the occupation of Iraq and attack on Afghanistan.
As if anyone would pay attention to any of all that...
