Obama Campaign: Send Joe Biden to the Bering Strait (Russia in Background). What Visuals!
Now that ABC has aired Sarah Palin's first interview detailing her extensive foreign policy experience...
Gibson alluded to McCain's recent statement that Alaska's proximity to Russia lent Palin some expertise on that nation, asking Palin to explain.
"They're our next-door neighbors and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska -- from an island in Alaska," she said.Sounds to me like it's time for Joe Biden to give a foreign policy press conference at the Bering Strait ... maybe from that island in Alaska where you can allegedly see Russia. What a great visual! And the press are already in Alaska, anyways.
Joe Biden is the Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and one of the wisest, most knowledgeable people in America. Sarah Palin can almost see Russia from her house. The image just speaks for itself.

I can see Joe now looking out over the foggy horizon towards the west and saying, "Standing here, so close to Russia, I feel smarter already."

Nice.
Blatant absurdity, snark, and mockery would get their campaign noticed, and they could use their bully pulpit to push actual issues.
Maybe put up a counter saying how many years, months, days, hours and seconds it's been since Sarah Palin visited the island where she can see Russia? Ask why, if she knows where it is, she won't go there. He could claim that if you squint really hard you can see Chezchoslovakia and the Iraq-Pakistan border, too.
