Most reliable and accurate electoral maps

What are the most reliable and accurate electoral maps?  There are like 25 of the damn things out there, all slight to dramatic variations.  Please help this electorally illiterate soul to navigate the dark forest of data out there.  TIA

My two favorite are http://www.electoral-vote.com/
and http://online.wsj.com/public/resources/documents/retro-POLCALCULATOR.html.

the WSJ is good to use to make up your own map and the electoral vote one uses recent polls to make its map.

Either way Obama looks set to win all of the ones we won in 2004 plus NM, NV, Iowa. which gets him to 269, so he has to win 1 more state, the states in play are FL,NC,VA,MO,IN,MT,ND,CO,OH.
So he just has to win 1 of those 9 states.
He is already in the lead in a few of those and most of the others are neck and neck. Needless to say, looks good for Obama.

also to get recent polls go to www.realclearpolitics.com

Agree on the models. electoral-vote.com is easy to understand, explains his methodology and has interesting analysis. He now has Obama way up. Click to the right of this blog to get there.

My favourite is:

http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/

Nate is a bit more conservative in his polling methods, but he also lists all the states and adds information others do not have...I visit his site at least twice a day.

Happy hunting.

FYI: RCP slants GOP.

I love the delay between submit and display going on lately! But yeah, 538 is great.

fivethirtyeight.com has been one of my favorites all year long. Multiple projection scenarios, lots of analysis, clear and well-plotted charts/graphs.

Thanks to all of you who replied!
