McCain Last Week: "I am comitted to streamlining burdensome regulations."
Bet the McCain camp wishes that they'd waited a week before they submitted their written answers to questions posed on science and technology policy.
How do you protect America's position as a world leader in innovation?
Learn how to do the Google? Nope.
I am committed to streamlining burdensome regulations and effectively protecting American intellectual property in the United States and around the globe.
Oops. But wait, there's more.
I am uniquely qualified to lead our nation during this technological revolution.Because for five and a half years he didn't have access to technology? No, but close:
While in the Navy, I depended upon the technologies and information provided by our nation’s scientists and engineers with (sic) during each mission. And finally, just for fun, McCain tops it all off by reminding us that he really did invent the Blackberry:
Under my guiding hand, Congress developed a wireless spectrum policy that spurred the rapid rise of mobile phones and Wi-Fi technology that enables Americans to surf the web while sitting at a coffee shop, airport lounge, or public park. All that within the response to a single question. There are thirteen more. Happy hunting.

Sorry for the title typo. For five and a half years, I didn't have access to a spellchecker.

Of course, McCain doesn't mention he relied upon that military technology over thirty-five years ago, when computers had tubes and switches and bells and room-size printers and punch cards.

I am sick and tired of everyone dumping on McCain's techno-knowledge! When he and I went to school together (we rode the same stage-coach) he always shared his slate with me as long as I made his lunch and served it to him. I mean, that's how things worked in the old days!
Women stayed home (and in McCain's SECOND MARRIAGE-- managed the family beer business) and accepted that they needed -- according to John, more training and education -- rather than equal pay for equal work. Of course in the McCain family, the woman [Cindy] who is ignored and blown off on a daily basis, is clearly the big breadwinner. I kinda think that is what breaks McCain's balls, frankly! Why else would he verbally abuse her and otherwise igore her? Well, maybe he just doesn't like women in general.
Why shouldn't John expect it to stay the same? I mean it's worked out so well up until now. Why is that? Because we have such a great country that it took a concerted effort to run it into the ground!!! It seemed so easy for George. I mean, if he had just coasted, we probably could have survived. But no. He had to be a war president. He had to ignore the warnings from binLadin so he could play golf. After all, 911 played right into his plans to be a WAR PRESIDENT. That really worked out well for us, and the 30,000 troops killed or wounded, plus the Iraqis who have been totally screwed by us, right?
And now the Dems are bad mouthing McCain. Why? The guy clearly wants to be president. Isn't that enough? Do you have to have an idea for where our country should be headed? Not according to those who have been dragged along with wedge issues and those who are dumb enough to believe that republicans will keep us SAFE?

Palin's comments today were priceless.
1. She let everybody know which paper she reads.
2. She let everybody know that she trusts her new sources.
3. She brought up taxes on the day we got confirmation that she's cheated on hers.
