McCain: Delusional
Those who read TPM know that McCain/Palin MO is to lie and continue lying. But, I think McCain has crossed from lie to delusional with his the "fundamentals of the economy is strong" while Lehman Brothers declare bankruptcy and Merrill Lynch is absorbed.
It is time to move past the McCain/Palin are liars, to not only do they lie all the time, they are delusional as well.

I've said I really wondered what was up when he said on the View, well, they said that Palin took earmarks, his favorite beef. And he replied with an awesomely bizarre falsehood,
"Not as governor she didn't." (She is, of course, the Earmark Princessa!) And I'm thinking, really, has this guy just lost it? He doesn't know that his Veep pissed all up and down on his favorite principle? What the fuck else don't he know?

Yes, McCain reminds me of my father who had alzheimer's. I wouldn't let my dad drive, cook or walk down the steps, let alone let him run the nation.
