I'm an Eagle fan, but I happened to catch the end of that game. When the Bengals kicked that field-goal for the tie instead of going for the TD and the win I knew they would lose.
They chose to force overtime with the defending SB champ Giants, who just scored on them in the prior series. You're on the four. Play to win. If you're not plying to win, you're playing to lose.
