Just How Much Religion is Too Much? Must-See Viral Video

I personally think the attention should be squarely on McCain. Palin is a distraction, and not one that is generally very helpful. I'm starting to believe that her whole candidacy will self-destruct, anyway. But still, from time to time something gets shoved into my radar screen that I can't just ignore. Just check it out.  It shows what's going on up there in Alaska at a church where Palin has been going since she was very young.

The question?

Do you think someone steeped in these beliefs since childhood should be anywhere near the Oval Office?

By the way. YouTube censored this out for unexplained reasons. You can see it at this link, though.

I also want to recommend Elizabeth2's post here:

Here's a somewhat sadder, but very well written article from McCain's cousin, of all people:

Rec'd, Raider. Absolutely rec'd.

In my second link, you have to scroll down to the second headline, btw.

Thanks LisB. I'm basically speechless at the situation we face today in our politics. I'm speechless that, while it's certain that the economy is the topic of the day, and lipstick on pigs was yesterday's faire du jour, it somewhat freaks me out that the story I mentioned in a previous post, that debunks McCain's whole premise about the Surge in Iraq and that even goes so far as to warn the world against a McCain presidency precisely because of his Iraq ignorance or complicity, was virtually ignored here on TPM.

There are other great posts here that really do deserve to be rec'd and read, but there are also some really trivial ones that make it to our top lists, and sometimes the ones that really matter, especially now, with such increased traffic, do not get noticed.

I find it disheartening.

Thanks for letting me know. I just read and rec'd your previuos post.

Part of the reason such an important blog of yours got written right off the page, Raider, might be that it was posted at an "off-peak" hour. I think your blog posted at 1:37 AM? Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm finding that most of my late-night posts disappear very quickly too. Sometimes it's best to wait until afternoon and then give it all day and evening to go "viral", if you will.

And now that you've provided the article on the surge, I'm going to go and read it in full thanks to your link.

Thanks, Lis. I have tried different times, but anyway, I have a modest proposal for the TPM gang - a way to circumvent this problem of slipping off the charts so quickly. It doesn't just affect me. It affects many other great posters.

So check this out and tell me what you think:

Please, tell me what is inappropriate about this?

Seriously, whoever posted that to youtube should be able to get an answer to the question of why youtube pulled it down.

Especially when another youtuber was able to post it.

Damn good question.
