Did Palin attempt "Fundamentalist abortion"?

avatar

There's a phrase "Catholic suicide" referring to depressed Catholics becoming "mishap prone" and their deaths ruled as accidents. By taking such extreme risks, perhaps Palin was attempting a "Fundamentalist abortion".

The suspicious series of events terminating her pregnancy -- such as flying, standing for long hours after her water broke, bypassing several nearby hospitals with neonatal intensive care units for a distant small rural facility without NICU -- all seem intended to "naturally" cause a still birth, or to allow the baby to die quickly following birth.

I have to tell you . I had enough of Palin and her pregnancy. It's not an issue, it energizes the right and it's waste of time.

There is more than enough real issues to make Gov. Palin and absurd choice the role of VP.

Yeah, I'd given some thought to that. She knew the baby had Down's, so being a fundie, she may have justified her actions by claiming she was putting things in "the Lord's hands." If the baby hadn't made it, it would have been God's will, not her irresponsible behavior, that made that happen.

But it's a non-issue --jsfox is right-- there are plenty of real issues on which to attack McCain. McCain is the candidate and the target here. Palin is a red herring.

And why do those repeatedly raising this ridiculous matter refer to it as Palin's "water breaking", when she apparently was leaking amniotic fluid or urine?

I would tend to agree with Mr. Simpson. As the father of two (now 24 and 20) I remember vividly their births. I can tell you from the start that my wife would not be thousands of miles from home in the 8th month of pregnancy. And I can certainly assure you that if we were and she thought she was going into labor we would not be going to the airport, we would be going to a hospiital at least to be checked out. I would be interested in other parents views.

I hate to think this but I would not be suprised if it were true

Are you suggesting that while in Dallas Ms. Palin was "going into labor"?

If so, please provide some evidence of your suggestion.

My understanding is that Ms. Palin had a leak and called her well respected physician and they apparently decided it would be OK for Ms. Palin to continue with her trip.
