Dear Senator Obama
I am posting this because I could not get a message through on his site... on the chance someone from his campaign might read this here.
Dear Senator Obama,
I am very concerned about what is happening to our country right now and I hope you will hang in there for everyone's sake. I have to restate that we must not give Paulson the power and authority he is looking for. I am sorry but this is a Bush move and Paulson himself said he doesn't know if this plan will work. He can show favoritism and do as he pleases and there will be no ramifications. That's outrageous! No one in the Bush administration is worthy of that trust.
Whenever things look really bad in my life and I feel stuck in a crisis, I tell myself 'there must be a way' and I ask my mind and beingness to go find it. I just keep telling myself there must be a way... and then a new possibility arises.
I want a better solution for america. This criminal adminstration cannot be empowered to deal with this situation. Paulson said on Fox News yesterday that he had to let the situation get this bad in order to ask for what he is asking for... that sent off alarms in my head and in my heart!! Something is going on here and I don't trust the administration. I know the situation may be truly very serious and we may have to do something but it needs to be done transparently with accountability.
No one deserves such superpowers as Paulson is asking for and I promise you he is not worthy of this awesome power. He said himself he doesn't know if this will even work... maybe that's why you looked worried, determined but worried or concerned.
I ask everyone to take a step back, really think about this. Are there solutions that we have not seen. You remember the story about the child who who suggests that we let air out of the tires to get the stuck truck out from under the bridge? Maybe it is more important to bolster the value of the assets that seem to be the problem... focus on the homeowners help uplift the housing market so that values of homes stabilize... instead of focusing on Wall Street... change from the bottom up but do that in a big hundred billion dollar way. I don't know exactly what the answer is but I know that Paulson has the wrong idea and we are taking a huge gamble that we should not be taking.
We must slow down, take a deep breath, and really sound this situation out!! Do NOT let this adminstration call the shots... they have always been WRONG!! Please hear me on this.
Thank you for your service,
Blessings on you, your family, and your campaign,
