dealing with the McCain POW lies and reality

Fact #1: John McCain is alive today becaue he sold out to the enemy during his captivity.
Fact #2: The Vietcong killed any prisoner that was not of use to them.  Hence, McCains very survival demonstrates his cooperation with the Vietccong.  The only question that remains is what secrets he told the Vietcong.
Fact #3:  If McCain is the hero he purports to be, every American has to right to know about severity of his PTSD.  By his own account, he suffers from PTSD.  Do we really want a president who suffers from such a severe psychiatric illness as PTSD.   By his own admission, he is psycho.  He cannot claim to be some kind of war hero and still claim to be psychologically balanced.
Fact#4: After Friday's debate, it is obvious McSame is a nut-case...the man has no grasp of even recent history...
Fact #5: Even his own campaign recognizes Sarah Palin is a brainless affirmative action VP choice and has set back back women's equality by 20 years in this country... Palin has single-handedly set back the progress that Hilary made.

You're laying out some "facts" without presenting any evidence to back them up.

"John McCain is alive today becaue he sold out to the enemy during his captivity."

This is a serious charge that I've not seen any of McCain's worst critics lodge against him. If you refer to the breaking of a prisoner during torture, you really need to know that just about everybody who is tortured does.

"The Vietcong killed any prisoner that was not of use to them. Hence, McCains very survival demonstrates his cooperation with the Vietccong. The only question that remains is what secrets he told the Vietcong."

By following your "facts" to their logical conclusion, you are claiming that EVERY POW that returned home did so because they cooperated with the enemy. Together with your first "fact" you are charging every surviving POW with violating the Serviceman's Code of Conduct, and giving aid to the enemy.

You better back that up.

Fact 1 I agree with, in the sense that McCain volunteered military information for preferential treatment and medical care, and considering that he had broken arms, a leg and wounds from the peasants who pulled him out of the lake, he probably would have died had he not received treatment.
Fact 2 I don't agree with. There were many POWs who were questioned and tortured to a greater or lesser extent, but ultimately proved useless to their captors, except as future bargaining chips.
The secrets that McCain volunteered was targeting information which resulted in deaths. Once the hit ratio went up, the US realized somebody was talking and they adjusted the targets. He also made some 32 propaganda tapes that were played in the camp. All of this evidence was sealed in exchange for his efforts at normalizing relations with Vietnam.
Fact 3 Because I don't believe he was tortured, I don't think he has PTSD, but I do believe he is wracked with guilt and afraid of exposure.
Fact 4 I have no comment on, because my grasp of world affairs is not that strong.
Fact 5 I disagree with because I think McCain has such limitless belief in his own abilities that he believes his "choice" is awesome. If you recall his face in the one moment when he mentioned her during the debate, she still provides him a thrill, understandably since she energized his campaign and helped him move up in the polls. He probably doesn't realize she has become an anchor, because I doubt he is provided much in the way of negative feedback. Therefore, I truly think the McCain campaign is now between a rock and a hard place. The candidate still thinks Palin is awesome so they wouldn't be able to convince him to get rid of her and it's for sure that she's too ambitious and aggressive to step down just because of pressure from the campaign handlers.

I'm not sure these discussion help us, however, because I've been told that his hero mythology is too powerful to overcome and that any attempts to do so will cause Obama trouble. So if that's what you want, go right ahead. For more information on his role in shutting down the search for the POWs who were left behind, read this:
