At the end of the day
the winner of this election is up to us and not the candidates. They have both presented themselves to everyone of us and we have seen who they are in live and living color. We have to make the final decision not them.
One chap has decided to play the game by a set of rules which castigate and ridicule his opponent, taking the debate away from the issues and onto personalities.
The other chap takes a different perspective concentrating on core issues which he believes are essential to re-establishing a good economy, health-care etc as well as repositioning the USA as a true world leader.
We have to take a look at both positions and determine what we want for ourselves. Are we happy with that chap who spits lies and half truths all day or do we want that person who sells himself as being honest and upright.
For the Obama supporters you really gotta come this realisation sooner rather than later and decide unconditionally that you are going to help him win this presidency. You will have to do whatever you can do and whatever is needed to get him past the finish line first.
I insist that there are enough Obama supporting blogs out there who should be selling the Obama story every moment of every day and highlighting every reason why we cannot afford a McCain presidency.
TPM is now doing a pretty good job in calling out Palin and McCain. We cannot depend on the main stream media to do it. They have to look for juicy stories to recite in order to boost ratings and to sell stuff. The bloggers such as TPM etc. can afford to rally against the media and McCain. They have the audience and hence it cannot be a difficult thing to do.
We are placing too much responsibility on Obama to win this thing... at the end of the day it is up to us whether he wins or lose.
Is it not true that Obama staked his campaign on us? He built his campaign on us. We are the ones funding his campaign. It is our talkingpoints that he use everyday. It is us that he represents everyday.
Are we prepared to lose our monies at this stage of the game? We have donted millions of dollars. Are we willing to walk away from such a huge investment?
For our investment to pay dividends Obama MUST win. Beyond that all of our monies go to waste. Can we afford that?
It is up to us... lets get up and ensure that our investment pays dividends. Let us elect Barack Obama.
