Another Couric-Palin interview transcript released
SP: Being governor of the state that I am – you know – governor of, there’s this place in that state – Alaska – where you can kinda see Russia…Have I ever gone there? I think Todd was kinda close to it one time on one of those races – you know – that he does, but you gotta cross water to get there cos it’s an island – you know – maybe someday we’ll build a bridge there. Not that I’m for that. Today. But just knowing that I could – you know – go there has given me a lotta – you know – knowledge about Putin and if he ever comes over – you know – we’ll send a thing after him. Maybe if the governor of Georgia had spent as much time worrying about Putin’s things as I do I coulda stopped Bristol from having that beautiful baby she’s gonna have – you know – not that that’s – you know – that’s off-limits. I mean if you could go to this island of Georgia and see Russia maybe Putin woudn’t of sent his tanks and things. But you can’t. There’s all this other land in the way.
What’s that? Georgia is in the caucuses? But that’s in Iowa! You mean, the Russians invaded two states? A Palin/McCain administration wouldn’t allow that. No way, you betcha. Oh, a mountain range next to Russia? When John McCain and I are president, no state will be allowed to move to another part of the world. Especially not a dangerous part and certainly not next to Russia because – you know – that’s Alaska’s job. And the governor’s. Well, a red state like Georgia can’t go certainly. Maybe if Massachoosetts wants to go they can go anywhere they want. Hey, does that mean Mitt Romney can’t take my place?
