Andrew Sullivan Unleashes The Truth Against VP Decision

avatar

Andrew Sullivan has penned one of the most damning no holds bar condemnations of John McCain's ill advised reckless decision to pick a political unknown as his vice presidential running mate. The article will surely be vigorously attacked by the McCain campaign and their talking bobble heads. What is a shame is that it has taken this much time for a truthful analysis of McCain's reckless decision that can only be truthfully viewed as a decision that puts the naked political desire to win at all costs above the welfare of the nation that McCain claims to love. Here is the link to Sullivan's article. It should be read. One can only hope that its frank and straight forward language will shake the MSM out of its fear of and complacency with the Republican spin machine.

Andrew liked Giuliani - what could be more reckless? He was frothing over a McCain/Giuliani ticket, and then a McCain/Lieberman ticket. He's completely hysterical about Hillary. What would make me take Andrew seriously now? He yearns to join up with the NRO, but until he can find the right break, he's stuck pretending he's in the progressosphere, and people enable him.

Sullivan has also been an ardent Obama supporter from the get-go, and has been out in front of even most of the progressive of bloggers with ferreting out the lies and distorions of the McCain campaign--if you don't believe me, ask Josh Marshall.

Hopefully this will be part of a cascade of people telling it like it is..

So far some of the best, most direct comments have come from actors.

Matt Damon's Sarah Palin as VP would be a disaster.

Chevy Chase Sarah Palin as VP is a ridiculous choice and McCain has lost his mind!

And of course the women of the view took McCain to task!

I emailed Sully the other day and told him that he was doing a magnificent job and I really appreciate it.

I'm doubly glad I did, now that I've read this.

Well, that's a pretty decent summary, and at least says what any thinking person knows - that she's unqualified. Sullivan apparently decided to skip her wacko religious beliefs and other frightening traits, but he does a decent job of just saying "No."

I think America is having one of those 'The Emperor has no clothes!' moments. One by one the press are shaking off the illusion and are finally becoming aware that the GOP has no clothes, but instead is holding a naked barracuda.
