And STOP Calling It a "Bailout" -- !
Congressional Democrats have completely conceded the naming game for this bill.
It is NOT a "bailout" any more.
It IS a Credit Stabilization bill.
A huge part of the problem here is the names by which we call these things.
Words have power. Americans need their representatives to vote to stabilize the credit markets. Otherwise, the next call they will get is from their 401(k) accounts, calling them from beyond the grave.
(I am not an economist, but I play one on TV)

The official name of the bill is exactly WHY I'm so perplexed about why party leaders and surrogates keep referring to it in their television and radio interviews as "The Bailout."
Which do most people pay attention -- the official bill name and number, or the shorthand leaders use to refer to it?
