What Obama needs to do at the Convention
Obama needs to stop fighting McCains's accusations against himeslf. If Obama is too busy trying to rebute McCain's claims that he somehow unpatriotic, it would appear that McCain is setting the agenda for the convention. The Democrats made a similiar mistake in Boston 2004, in which Kerry was trying to prove his patriotism and was not attacking George W Bush. The Democrats could repeat this mistake if Obama over concentrates on his personal life story. What Obama and Biden need to do is to describe how dangerous McCain and the status quo is for America's future. Obama could tell how the eviromental policy of both Bush and McCain could threaten future generations with the threat of gloabal warming. Or describe the recklessness of the Bush and McCain fiscal policy which defunds schools and colleges that are necessary for this nation's future. Finally Obama could state that the Bush-McCain foreign policy is dangerous because of its unilateralism and believing that war is the first option.

I agree that a relentless hammering of McCain is essential to victory. After all, there's plenty to hammer him on.

you just dont get it do you? it is not about obama per se.....it is what obama isn't!!! no talk of policy, no talk of family values will change these misgivings towards him..mccain has the advantage that hrc had and it has nothing to do with experience or lack thereof.....those of us who are truly on board, great, but i fear the bradly effect like you wouldn't believe...
this, meaning obama being what he is, has been done before and we have no clue how to act, what to say or how to react...he is stuck between a rock and a hard place..damned if he does and damned if he doesn't....he gets coverage, but it is all negative coverage and these people do not think for a moment that they are being biased....
i want obama and biden to win, but i will believe it when i see it...

he should hammer mccain more but what good is it if the media only report mccain's hammering???? or portray obama as some big black mean man picking on a frail POW? the same reasons that dogged him during the primaries--cant be seen as a black bully picking on the white woman....obama is stuck..
