Using Fear for Votes: Drafting our Children for McCain's War Without End;
I don't fear the heightened alert colors; I don't worry about jihadists running amok in our country. What I do fear is that my two 18 year-old sons, and thousands of others will be drafted to become fodder for McCain's desire to get closure on Vietnam.
McCain is unstable, and really needs therapy. We need ads showing young men crawling in rice paddies in Vietnam; helicopters pulling out the injured. Then a statement that we lost in Vietnam because it was a mistake to go in in the first place, and now we have normal relations with Vietnam. Why did all those 50,000+ young men die? Because old men said they knew how to win wars, and that was all that mattered to them.

And that is always the way of it. One thing I'd love to hear, the next time McCain or any of his Republican pseudo-troop-supporting ilk spout off, is a very clear reminder that the ground-pounders are not the ones who lose wars, it's the generals and politicians who lose wars.

Has anyone ever asked McCain if the Vietnam war was worth fighting in the first place? I didn't think so.
Has anyone asked him (to his face) when he says, "I know how to win wars." What wars he has won? Didn't think so.
When he bloviates about chasing binLadin to the gates of hell, why he didn't advocate chasing him to Tora Bora (which is where he was), or more recently, to Pakistan (where he is). His rhetoric is just for the professional christians, who don't question anything except rationality.
