Time to Wake Up: Looming Crisis with Russia Threatens us all
Obama's selection of Joe Biden does not bode well for how our country might deal with Russia under an Obama administration. It appears Biden is in favor of NATO's continued encircling and strangling of Russia. Can anyone explain the rationale behind this policy? Why is the United States so aggressive towards Russia? How is this policy in our interest? And, most importantly, are we willing to wage global nuclear war to carry out our policy?
Still, inspite of Barack's and Biden's position, we are clearly better off with them at the helm than war monger McCain. At least they'll open up some political space for serious debate on this crucial matter.

It's called democracy, slightly flawed but better than Tsarist oligarchy Russian style. Prefer Russian invasions of Poland, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Afghanistan, Chechnya, Georgia, cutting off gas to Ukraine and poisoning their leaders? Just lovable guys trying to have fun? Just protecting their vital interests?

Until the leadership actually changes hands... they can only make proposals, or leglislate etc. Once they have authority they will have much more ability to work with all parties etc and put some options on the table. This conflict with Russia and Georgia has been hot for a long time but there was not 'leadership' to head off what has happened.... a Bush/Cheney gaffe.

We should have let the Russians finish off the Taliban. There would have been no Bin Laden, no 9/11.
I think US invasions match up nicely to Russian invasions, don't you?
The Cold War is over.
