Through the Gates of Hell
John McCain was asked at the Saddleback Church forum about the right response to evil.
“Defeat it,” McCain said. "If I have to follow him to the gates of Hell, I will get Osama bin Laden and bring him to justice. I will do that and I know how to do that. I will get that done.”
Tough talk, alright, following bin Laden "to the gates of Hell" and all. But really, Sen. McCain, why stop there?
Once you capture bin Laden as he sneaks back to the Underworld, shouldn't you go whole hog as long as you're already there? I mean, why take home small fry and let the big fish go?
No, Sen. McCain, if you're going to defeat evil, you have to go after the Prince of Darkness himself, the true high card in the deck of destruction. How about calling in an air strike on Satan himself? Only then will you have defeated evil.
Who but you, Sen. McCain, could rival the power of Almighty God Himself and make manifest your glorious works by defeating evil? Of course, that would make you the new Lucifer, and we'd have to pile on your sorry ass.

That's the most bullshit statement in a whole boatload of bullshit. What utter empty posturing.
I have an idea for McCain. Why doesn't he just fly over to Pakistan and take on bin Laden in single combat. He might even win. The guy's on dialysis, after all. Though I doubt old John has the cojones to go too far from Cindy's millions.
But imagine the battle. Could be on pay-for-view. McCain vs. bin Laden Smackdown. If he wins, he gets to be president. If he loses... well, maybe we can start making sense and stop listening to stupid old men who love war - as long as they aren't the ones giving up their lives or their loved ones.
Or maybe it could be a TV movie of the week. Or a reality show.
Please, John, go after bin Laden now and we'll hold your place in line.

You guys all missed the most interesting boast from McBush: "I know how to do that."
Was he referring to getting Osama Hussein Bin Laden?
Or that he knows the way to the Gates of Hell and what to do when he gets there.
Either way, I want to hear more. LOL

You know, I can't get over this repeated statement from McLame:
He says that over and over. Okay...so, you "know" how to defeat Bin Laden. You have the secret to defeating Bin Laden. You've been keeping this secret to yourself since 2001. Waiting for your moment to lead this country to its sweet victory over this particular virulent evil.
Could McCain, perhaps, clue us in to what this secret ace is that he's hiding up his sleeve?

One problem with McCain going to the Gates of Hell to get OBL is that, if he does that as our President, he would be taking the rest of us along with him.
Count me as uninterested in going even further down that path, which Bush has taken us down in too many ways already.
