The New McCain Energy Plan: Open Mouth, Insert Tire Gauge

avatar

And just when the McCain campaign was starting to show improved message discipline...someone forgot to pre-program Senator Straight Talk before letting him out of his rocker.  Reuters has the latest McCain quote gem.

Obama said a couple of days ago says we all should inflate our tires. I don't disagree with that. The American Automobile Association strongly recommends it.

Obama, showing some feistiness over the last few days that is doubtlessly welcome news in this corner of the blogosphere, took a swing at this belt-high fastball earlier today.

In the coming days it’s going to be interesting to watch this debate between John McCain and John McCain.

The whole tire-pressure mocking meme is officially shot to hell, and I'm guessing Steve Schmidt will be sporting a beaut of a palm print on his shiny forehead for a few days.

I am loving it!

Great to see one of Schmidt's efforts not only flop but fizzle.

Let's make it a habit.

I think a great ad for Obama would be for him to say that he is looking forward to debating him, but that he would first like to see McCain debate McCain so he would know at least who he was up against.

Then give one clip after another of McCain debating himself with his completely contrasting stances (with dates).

And by the way -- NEVER using the stupid word, "Flip-Flop." It is an ignorant talking point which means nothing.

Thank you for that CVille. I hate wearing changes of mind on my feet.

The tire gauge is merely another sad excuse for a subliminal "black man coming to get us" message. Apparently, the MN repubs are "erecting a giant tire guage" as a symbol of Obama's impotent energy plan.

I think McCain is more likely the one who needs erection help.

Perhaps that's what McCain really meant when he proposed an indefinite surge.

Where the blather meets the old!
