Simple Question: Do You Want To Continue Being Sheep For Oil Companies?
People need to wake up and realize what this election is all about.
The Major issues...the war and the middle east, the economy, health care, and probably most importantly the environment...all boil down to one thing. Oil.
You may think the important thing is religion, or racism and sexism, or some ancient notion about America always being right.
But right now, the one thing that is affecting all of us -- the 99% in this country with only 60% of it's wealth -- is our dependence on oil.
Not just as a county, but individually. We can't perform our daily functions without it. We have to buy it no matter what the price. We are like sheep "baaing" our way to the gas station.
I know the price been going down lately, but you and I know that will change after the election. That is how much in control they are. These are people who care nothing about people dying to protect their commodity, let alone the disastrous effects it is having on the world we live in.
So I'm challenging everyone to put aside their banners and flags, put aside their biases and prejudices, and think about this. I mean actually think.
Which candidate is going to work to end this, and which is going to perpetuate it?

My husband and I are retired (early retirement) and his "parttime job" these days is managing our portfolio. He has long been concerned about "peak" oil and the ramifications for our country.
Although I'm more obsessed w/ the election, he sends me articles regularly about the oil situation and I've gotta tell you, it's a major big deal. If we don't end our oil dependence, we are in big trouble. I'm not talking about doing our own drilling, I'm talking about finding different ways to fuel the things we do.
I know John is flappin' his lips about energy, but I don't believe he has ANY interest in forming a realistic energy policy...gas tax holiday...that says it all.
