Palin/Lieberman
Here's the only scenario that makes sense of the Palin choice. She helps McCain campaign for two months, so that the conservatives (who adore her) and perhaps some women voters elect him president. Then she admits her children and her husband are suffering because she's been so busy. Thus, for the sake of her family, she cannot accept the honor that has been bestowed upon her. She resigns and bingo, McCain chooses Joe Lieberman as his veep! In one fell swoop, McCain wins the election and obtains the vice president he reallys wants. If the conservatives are angry, so what? He only plans to be a one-term president and won't need to face their wrath at the ballot box.
I've been wrestlin with the logic: why wouuld McCain pick such a neophyte when he's so focused on international affairs and why would a woman with a new baby and a whole family life centered in Alaska want to live in Washington, D.C.? The Lieberman scenario is the only one that fits! Sounds just Rovian enough to be plausable.

Or he could have Joe in his cabinet and Palin will LITERALLY bring back the old saying of a VP not being worth........well you know the rest.
