Palin Way Off Target
I am not a Hillary supporter so I can't speak for them, but they did a pretty good job of speaking for themselves and I listened. They did not want some woman, any woman, to be on the ticket. They wanted HRC. She connected with women who had to struggle with pernicious and ubiquitous sexism, not only in the workplace and at school but often in their own homes as well. I know my mother's parents were reluctant to teach her to read. So does Sarah Palin seem like a reflection of their lives? I doubt it. She seems to have risen in Alaskan politics by being a charismatic champion of the homogenous GOP platform. McCain already asked HRC's supporters to check their beliefs at the door and revel in face-spiting nose removal. He couldn't close the sale because in the end these supporters didn't find close to enough common ground on the issues. I don't think Palin will manage that feat either.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz was just on Hardball and slammed McCain for trying to suggest that Clinton and Palin are interchangeable, that Clinton supporters should vote for McCain just because Palin "has the same parts that we do." She had some genuine passion in her voice.
I'd like to see Wasserman Schultz on every talk show delivering that same attack.
