"Our Addiction to Foreign Oil"?
"We must break our Addiction to Foreign Oil"
Does anyone else think that quote has one too many words in it? Shouldn't it just be
"We need to break Our Addiction to Oil"?
Seems to me that just drilling more, in more places will do nothing to help our addiction to oil.
What do you think?

While you may be right. The two do go hand in hand. If you break our addiction to foreign oil you end up breaking our addiction to oil since we do not nor will we ever have enough domestic production to meet demand at current use levels.

You are correct. Including the word foreign holds out the dim hope that our cheap fuel lifestyle can continue and assigns blame to other countries for our pain at the pump.

Yes, indeed. Especially since these days of fungible (what a great word) commodities mean "foreign oil" is part of the pricing dynamic, we can only escape that addiction by attacking the overall one.
