More thoughts on the potential new CIC
Just wanted to expend on my previous post regarding McCain's amazing choice for Vice President of the United States of America.
First of all, I stand by every word of that post, but in case you are worried that the Republicans might have the last laugh, put me firmly in the camp that thinks, yes, they could very well steal yet another one.
No, what I was laughing at already happened. Their third-finger salute to the idea that our government needs to have capable, talented people at its helm was nothing short of breathtaking. Of course, I'm sure that Mrs. Palin is very capable and talented, but we're talking about a particular type of talent and capability. Experience, you might say.
Obviously, the Republicans are the ones who can take nothing seriously, even war -- except perhaps lining their pockets and those of their friends.
But hope springs eternal, and ultimately I don't think there's much that needs to be done here. Seriously. There's not really a need to say much of anything.
Res ipsa loquitur.
Be patient, this present will open itself.

Here I thought at the VERY LEAST that McCain was going to improve on Bush's hiring policy of 'failing upwards'.
I need to re-read 1984 to escape the absurdity. At least Orwell is fiction... isn't it?

If McCain thinks that al qaeda is rooting for Barack to be President, would they wet their panties at the thought of hockey mom in the co-pilot seat?

The fact that they even used that was troubling. This is why I could never vote for Republicans. The fact that they play to the stupidity and blatant fear of the public is troubling. I guess some Americans just do it to themselves.
