McCain the old taxdodger
The reason McCain might not have had an easy answer to how many houses he owns, is that he doesn't own any. Apparently, trust funds, corporations and limited liability real estate companies own the houses he lives in. That means that McCain doesn't have a mortgage, pays no property taxes and since he only reports his salary as earned income which he offsets by donating his book royalties to charity, probably pays no taxes at all. From what I can tell, he doesn't even own a car...71 years old, footloose and taxfree.

Very interesting info, Bev. This is a layer that definitely should be added to the MSM's mass-consumption narrative. It should be easy for them to market. But will they run with it?
Being a rational person, I have trouble understanding how or why some campaign "narratives" are developed and others are not.

According to their 2007 tax returns they paid a total between the two of them, Cindy and John, of $10,403.00 in property taxes. On 12 Million worth of property. McCain had no mortgage deduction at all.

McCain holds down two jobs while campaigning - his U.S. senate gig and his employment at Hensley Co. for which he's paid $216,496.00 per year. I think he cleans the offices on the weekend.

sounds like he has a smart arsed accountant. lucky john...maybe he can hook me up with their accountant as mine is obviously doing a lousy job!
