McCain: "I'm so glad I found a soul mate and partner."
FoxNews Sunday's "exclusive" interview with Sen. McCain is a goldmine of quotes, both amusing and substantive. No video link yet, but...
Yes, in talking about his VP choice, he actually said, "I'm so glad that I found a soul mate and partner."
I'm sure that Cindy is happy for them.
McCain also offered a laundry list of issues where he differed from the Bush White House and one of the areas of disagreement was that he didn't believe in torture. Chris Wallace caught that one quickly, and asked for a qualification, asking something like, "You aren't saying that the White House supports torture, do you?" McCain winced a bit, then stumbled through an answer that can be boiled down to, "Yes." He stated that he believed that water boarding is torture, and that water boarding has taken place.

If he doesn't believe in torture, why did he vote for it?

I just read that first quote to my wife. She just opened her mouth and stared. "I can't believe he said that." So I won't be saying that about any of my coworkers. :-)

Looks like Johnny boy is trading up for a newer model. Cindy better be watchin' her man. When I first heard the news -- I was left completely "ker-flumpted". This is sure to be the Mighty McSame three-ring circus for the rest of the election cycle. God bless us all from dystended hernias.
