McCain Campaign's Delusional Response to Clinton's Speech

Apparently the McCain campaign wasnt listening to the same speech everyone else was:

“Senator Clinton ran her presidential campaign making clear that Barack Obama is not prepared to lead as commander in chief, Nowhere tonight did she alter that assessment. Nowhere tonight did she say that Barack Obama is ready to lead. Millions of Hillary Clinton supporters and millions of Americans remain concerned about whether Barack Obama is ready to be President.”
Hillary Clinton:
"And when Barack Obama is in the White House, he'll revitalize our economy, defend the working people of America, and meet the global challenges of our time. Democrats know how to do this. As I recall, President Clinton and the Democrats did it before. And President Obama and the Democrats will do it again."
Sounds like she said he is ready to lead.

Hilarious!

Rec'd for exposing more GOP "Ministry of Truth" BS. My only complaint about your post is the title.

"McCain Campaign's Delusional Response" is redundant. :-)

Leave it to the GOP to tell it like it isn't.

The MSM lets McCain get away with lying so much that its simply just too easy for their campaign to do it. Why tell the truth when nobody ever calls you on your lies?

In all fairness, the MSM lies directly from their own mouths for McCain - so we can't really expect them to call him on it.

Did you see the Kristol take on the speech?

Somehow, I don't think McCain's version of "Head-On, Apply Directly to the Forehead" will translate into future gain. Soon enough, the only response the public will be able to muster is irritation ... followed by a general tuning-out of "the message."

To be honest I have to say that Clinton did leave just one and only one sentence out of her otherwise excellent speech. She really never did say that Obama was ready or that he is actually able to achieve these goals. As an Obama supporter I was overall impressed with her speech but she did leave this one little hole that obviously the GOP is exploiting.

Agree.

It is a pretty large hole. One can't expect the Hillary endorsement of McCain as a CIC over Obama is just going to go away itself.

As coonsey said in Connie Manes thread, the MSM will be asking her about this angle from the McCain campaign now that they have directly laid it at her feet.

If she can make the Republicans regret that they brought it up, I will mail two hundred dollars to her campaign fund within twenty four hours of the birching.

I'll match you!!! I was so hoping for a birching last night ...... but, really, any time will be fine!

Won't happen. You see she and Bill still believe that Obama is too green behind the ears, but it is too late now - he is the nominee and she has to tow the party line. But that does not mean that she can't leave herself a little wiggle room in case Obama fails. How on earth will she be able to run on the "I told you so" platform in 4 years if she recants now?

She and her advisors crafted a nice little Gonzales-like legalspeak, which emphatically endorses while still leaving all of her disgusting attacks on a fellow democrat in tact. Thus creating her platform for the next election.

It is brilliant in its backstabbing simplicity.

Do you mean "fail" as in not becoming President, or "fail" as in he becomes President and does a lousy job?

If the plan is as you describe it, then it certainly has a flip side; If Obama wins and is able to pilot the Democratic party, the decision to expect his failure would punish those who never believed it could happen.

I say: Roll the bones.

becomes president and does a lousy job

And I agree...roll dem bones :)
