McCain: "Back to work" He's joking right?
McCain’s latest act of idiocy? His challenge for Obama and other Democratic Congress members to return to work to pass an energy bill. This is coming from a man who hasn’t voted on any legislation in the Senate since April. In fact, Sen. John McCain has one of the worst voting records in Congress. He’s missed a whopping 367 votes (61.4%) during the current Congress.
Astonishingly, McCain has missed more votes than any other senator since the convening of Congress in January, with the exception of Senator Tim Johnson (D-SD), who
suffered from a brain hemorrhage, and spent months recuperating.

Another example of Rove-like tactics: take your weakness and talk about it like it's your strength. The media will repeat it enough that people start to believe it. It's disgusting.

Much akin to Bush's Clear Skies Iniative. McCain and his cronies have mastered the art of framing. Do people actually buy this shit? Of course, many still believe we never landed on the moon and that Obama is a Muslim.

Well, I believe that I'm getting a flying unity pony for my birthday, so I guess I can't really fault them...

And what other votes specifically did he skip? Is he saying big oil is more important than all of those since he's willing to go back for this vote, but not all of the others?

He showed up for the equal pay vote. Apparently, it's really important to make sure than men keep getting paid more than women for doing the same jobs.

Oops. My bad. Looks like he missed the equal pay vote as well. He only said he didn't support it.

McCain’s voting record since 1991 isn’t much better. See a complete list of his missing votes.
When the Arizona senator did show up for a vote in the Senate, he managed to vote along with the majority of his Republican cronies 88.3% of the time during the current Congress. To see a list of his Senatorial votes since 1991, go here.

From January 2000 to November 2006, republicans held both houses of congress along with the white house. In all that time, what did the republicans do to address the energy crisis? Now with a couple of months before the election, republicans are demanding action.

I hope you're not suggesting this is some kind of stunt having to do with the election.
