Kick John McCain's Ass Week Starts Today
Time to research and post what makes John McCain unfit for command of our country. For more details, see this post and its comments:

Have fun, be accurate, slam harm and please, PLEASE use links to source material.
It's time we made McCain a celebrity for his bad policies, flip-flops, pro-Bush voting record, lack of substance, corruption, ties to special interests, lack of honor, war mongering, shady friends, racism ("gook"), inability to grasp facts, repeated gaffes, etc. To name a few possible topics.

SO TRUE...OMG I know I used to have a real life, I hope it's still there after the election or is TPM so addictive that I'll NEVER recover?

I had to force myself go cold turkey for awhile.

I used to have a real life
That real-life thing is overrated, wouldn't you agree? It's too...I don't know...real?

I know! There's something to be said for being able to sit down with a cup of coffee, having conversations with people that you want to talk to and ignoring the rest, w/o seeming rude.
However, my family is raising concerns now that I've taken to sitting in my chair in my pajamas all day, getting up only for sustenance and visiting the little room!

...and those foolish, unreasonable people have a PROBLEM with that??????

Tried living in the real world, instead of a shell. But before I began, I was bored before I even began....

You'll recover. I kinda have to if I expect to keep my grades up once school starts.
Ripper's post is very much right, especially with the link to yesterday's post of his. I would like to think I could go on conservative blogs and talk sense into/debate with some people, but aren't those people just as partisan as we are? Heck, I've given up posting on Fox News's election blog; they've published my comments once or twice out of maybe 15-20.

Go to the McCain's Web site and lay it on them? Bombard the site with the issues that the mainstream and left leaning media are too afraid to tackle. While Obama is being attacked with lies and slander, not to mention having attacked his patriotism and his family, etc. . . Alert the right about McCains true POW status, and his naval academy record, bring up his adulterous behavior and his AGE, and his sheer stupidity about the issues. What makes him a hero. Define one heroic behavior that he accomplished. What about the propoganda angle while a POW. Was his time really spent hunched over a small space, or did he receive preferential treatment.Geesh, what the freak, man.

Here's an old-but-good story about how John McCain sees America.
I wonder if this offer from Senator Straight Talk is still open. :-)

The next time you see anything anywhere complaining about how the media are ignoring McCain, post this link:

Sorry I can't figure out how to make links prettier...
Mr. Schwenkler's point is that the reason Obama gets more coverage than McCain is that McCain himself is Obama-obsessed, probably deliberately, given that having his positions, voting records, and malapropisms in public view would show him for the asshat he is.

Interesting op-ed by fellow McCain POW. Brings to light new facts I didn't know. Should go viral.

I hate to be nasty but the first 7 responses to this post are about how hanging out at TPM is addictive. All in all there's maybe 3 links to oppo articles that are useful. My thanks to the folks who posted them and Ripper for this diary.
But for the rest of you there's now 81 days until the election. If you're hanging out at TPM chit chatting to the choir you're wasting your time and the only one you're helping elect is John McCain. If media sites with Republicans are too creepy for you then go to a local campaign office near you. You can phonebank from home or help out at a local office. If you're in a safe blue district or a hopelessly red one there's a competitive race just over the hill that's looking for reinforcements. Get some friends together, call up that congressional campaign and tell 'em the calvary's coming tomorrow to help 'em knock on doors or work the phones. Then in the morning hop in the car, take the bus or the train with your friends and do it.
If you can type here you can do data entry there freeing up overworked, underpaid staff and interns who have been doing this for a year for other tasks that won't get done unless everybody pitches in. And while you're doing it there's just as many friendly Democrats to talk with in person.
Imagine how awful you're gonna feel for the next four years if John McCain is president or your local congressman is some hack Republican. Please, pick a good Dem candidate from Obama on down and donate money but most especially your time and talents to help them win. We are the change we've been waiting for. Consider this your written invitation to get involved.
