I don't recall

Great comment in response to a CS Monitor article:

Isn’t this really a sign that a McCain administration would bring us
another four years of “I don’t recall” governance? I mean, I know the
play worked for Reagan, Bush, and Gonzales. But haven’t we had about
enough of Republican “leaders” who can never recall a damn thing about
anything they do? Puh-lease.

I think tying in McCain's bad memory to Gonzales, etc. could make for a convincing youtube video.

I suppose this must be strange for you, but occasionally I call my mutual fund to get some info and to verify who I am, they ask me to name one stock in my portfolio. I can't do it. I have a mutual fund because I don't do investing, my broker does. You might think of a house as something special, I suppose because real estate is physical, but if it's investment property, it's simplypanother holding. It's not like he's flying to each one on his holidays and suddenly forgot about a state, or like for Reagan couldn't even remember the name of his dog.

Okay, I'm not playing the outraged Democrat game very well, and I wasn't horrified by $500 shoes either. Oddly enough the only thing that really horrified me about McCain was his idiotic support of the surge in denial of obvious failures on the ground and his contention that we should keep surging for the next 100 years. But I guess I always get hung up on the trivial stuff.
