"I am Blessed"
If McCain said it once he said it a thousand times and was willing to repeat that he is blessed for having so many homes. Blessed is a code word for the evangelicals and those that Lakoff has identified as having the Strict Father worldview where individuals are either "blessed" with good life or not.
McCain of course refused to answer the simple competency question because it was a competency question, why couldn't couldn't he answer how many homes he owns. My father, a old time Republican who has now stated he does not recognize his party, a former attorney who handled many a rich man's estates has never know a person who doesn't know how many homes he/she owns. The cock-oh-may-me idea that some were investment properties is BS....the answer is homes not houses....he didn't remember which is why he at 80 write down what prescription he is picking up at the pharmacy....
Vote for me because I am blessed is code for if you vote for me you too will be blessed.

I love the "Blessed with opportunities" line especially since McCain received his blessings by ditching his wife and marrying the daughter of a multi-millionaire. Kind of empty when you actually look at it!

Grandpa McCain's whole life of "blessings" has been pretty empty when you look at it. He got into flight school because of his dad not his own hard work or brain power. He got his POW status because he sucked as a Navy pilot but was made one by daddy's connections. He then got to be the head of a squadron thanks again to dear old dad despite his complete lack of skill. He couldn't even be a decent father to his original children or husband to his original wife as that was too difficult and his dad couldn't do it for him. He then cheated his way into wealth and power by marrying somone who also never earned anything of their own. Instead of using their unearned wealth to do good for the world they instead cheated and manipulated the system to make even more money at the expense of the middle class and continue to do so to this day. The man is simply a worthless parasite living off of, while totally ignoring, the lives of others. The real "blessing" will come when the rest of his body joins his one foot, already in the grave.
