Et Tu, Ed Rendell???

From Michael Calderone, political media analyst at Politico, comes this interesting item:

RENDELL: OBAMA COVERAGE WAS EMBARASSING

Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell was supposed to give “closing remarks” during this afternoon’s Shorenstein Center-sponsored panel discussion with all three Sunday show moderators—NBC’s Tom Brokaw, ABC’s George Stephanopoulous, and CBS’s Bob Schieffer—but instead, he opened up a can of worms about bias in 2008 election coverage

"Ladies and gentleman, the coverage of Barack Obama was embarrassing," said Rendell, in the ballroom at Denver's Brown Palace Hotel. "It was embarrassing."

Rendell, an ardent Hillary Clinton supporter during the primaries, now backs Obama in the general election. Brokaw and Rendell began debating campaign coverage, including the on-air comments by Lee Cowan, and when MSNBC came up, Rendell went after the cable network.

“MSNBC was the official network of the Obama campaign," Rendell said.

It's the vast left-wing conspiracy.

I could of swore he said he was moving on. Oh well on to Denver.

Is it my imagination or do the cable news outlets play McCain's attack ads over and over but Obama's only a few times? I remember seeing the celebrity ad ad nauseum and now I'm seeing the Hillary ad over and over again. Not so for recent Obama ads.

That's been my observation. MSNBC included, by the way.

Maybe Rendell is unaware of the George Mason study which shows that Obama receives 28% positive press and 72% negative press. He may have seen 50/50 on MSNBC, unconsciously compared it to 28/72, and sensed wrongdoing. Or he's a child.

Beware the 2XIdes of August.

I don't get it Jade, you alternate between hating MSM and loving MSM. What's the rule?

Lalo,

Stop setting up a strawman, just so you can start a pissing match. Jade's thread topic is what Ed. Rendell said, and has nothing to do with the merits of the media, nor did Jade say anything to that effect. Stop with your childishness.

A better talking point for Rendell and MSM:

Hillary is releasing her delegates on Wednesday.

And there ya have it..............

Will Rendell still cast his vote for HRC? Hmmm.

My dear Governor(I have voted for you, repeatedly): Cease and Desist. Get with the program. You risk losing a lot of people who love and respect you. Seriously, we(you) need to put the past behind us(you) and move forward, picking up the banner and trumpet and blowing and waving as hard as we(you) can.
Unless you want to guarantee a GOP win, and there are many who feel that that's a distinct possibility, you have to join the party and Obama and do everything in your power to save the republic.
That's how important this is.

After watching Rendell, Carville and Begala this weekend, I am completely convinced that there is a two prong strategy on the part of the Clinton folks, to appear supportive of the candidate, while simultaneously going after every element, (real or imagined) that resulted in her loss. Except, the fact that they ran a shitty campaign.
