Congratulations to Ripper McCord, Jonze, and Tellinya, Winners of the TPMCafe VP Prediction Thread Contest
After a corrected tally of the votes on the Great TPMCafe VP Prediction Thread of July 25, 26, and 27, I am pleased to announce that bloggers McCord, Jonze, and Tellinya correctly predicted Obama's selection of Joe Biden. Kudos to our great prognosticators.
The rest of us didn't do quite so well (myself included). After correcting the tally for a dangling chad and an overvote, we see that Biden was the 5th choice of avid TPM readers.

Romney is the rumored McCain pick right now, but I don't know if I'm seeing that anymore. However I do see McCain choosing a Governor and then playing up the executive experience angle.

P.S. I still think McCain will pick the character Goose from the blockbuster motion picture "Top Gun" as his veep.

Good choice, a fictional character to go along with his fictional prevarications on many subjects. Someone should have told him that if you tell the truth, it's easier to remember from day to day what you believe.
