By far, viewers of CNN, MSNBC, Katie Couric, Charles Gibson, and Brian Williams plan to vote for Obama
If the media is so pro-McCain, why are so little of their viewers swayed to vote Republican? If the media hates Obama, who do their viewers prefer him over McCain?
Only Fox News is an exception.
A new Rasmussen survey has found that:
Eighty-seven percent (87%) of Fox News viewers say they are likely to vote for John McCain, while those who watch CNN and MSNBC plan to support Barack Obama in November by more than two to one.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 65% of CNN voters plan to vote for the Democratic candidate versus 26% who intend to go for the Republican. Similarly, MSNBC watchers plan to vote for Obama over McCain 63% to 30%.
Also,
Seventy percent (70%) of those who watch CBS’ Katie Couric every day plan to vote for Obama, as do 71% of the daily viewers of ABC’s Charles Gibson and 67% of those watching NBC’s Brian Williams.
Stop whining.

Your writing makes no sense:
"So little of their viewers"?????
Do you mean "so few"? Or are there some "little viewers" you're talking about?

Perhaps viewers feel the current economic hardships more acutely than the MSM commenters and their editors. MSM talking heads will spend 30 seconds on "Pain at the Pumps" and five minutes on why you should buy the $250 Swedish pillow.

These are pretty interesting numbers.
For one thing, it's interesting to match these up against polls of likely voters. Five out of six TV news audiences break for Obama 2-1. But the pool of likely voters is much closer, something like 43% - 46%.
Moreover, I'm pretty sure that the Fox news audience isn't a whole lot larger than the other five.
This means one of two things:
1) A lot of McCain supporters don't watch TV news at all. (Because they're reading the Financial Times and Drudge? Because they get their view of the world from their pastor and American Idol? Because at 6:30, they're usually out shooting squirrels for dinner? You tell me.)
or
2) A lot of people who watch TV news don't qualify as "likely" voters, and don't usually vote.
Both may be true. But I suspect the explanation is largely #1 -- and since there aren't that many people who read FT, I further suspect that a lot of Republican voters simply don't pay attention to the news at all.
And that, tragically, Explains. So. Much.

Actually, if the point was to say stop whining about FOX, I would agree with the author. Progressive blogs need to focus on the trash being spread by media people who are not preaching to a choir, those who believe God planned to turn up the thermostat 6,000 years ago. My focus is Jake Tapper of ABC, who personally saw xenophobia and racial accusations in Obama's joke about the dollar bills before anyone else. Someone who felt a black person could play the race card in front of a white audience.
