"BARACK OBAMA: A TREASONOUS DECEPTION?" or "No, THIS Needs To Be The Next Viral Video."

Tens of millions of Americans have already fallen prey to this deceit, at inestimable cost to the nation in lost productivity and time.

We all know that Barack Obama's e-campaign has saturated the internets. But is it possible that Obama is the sinister mastermind of the greatest internet hoax in history? You donors, by your great numbers and your predilection for donation via computer, have only helped propagate the vast and innumerable appendages of Obama's electronic network. Consider the labor represented by these donations, and that it might all be funding a..well, a little while lie? The boy who cried wolf? Mass disinformation, or maybe even treason? While Barack Obama is on vacation, the documentary evidence below shows exactly what he's planning on doing with your money.

Video here

I am firmly convinced that Barack Obama is the archvillain responsible for the original, and all similar internet hoaxes; he also encouraged the copycats. He has the resources and the contacts to pull it off: the 57-state strategy, and the largest internetwork of donors ever. From his mouth to your ears.

Kind of like the New Yorker cover, the context was assumed.

Tom, don't you remember being Rick Rolled? Someone would put up a serious sounding post with a link and when you clicked on it you got Rick Astley's "Never gonna give you up"

This is just a new twist.

I'm digging it. Rec'd.

Pure and utter garbage!!!!!!!!!!! Another escapee from the looney bin.

Are you an idiot? Or just acting stupid?

is "making a funny" a choice? if not, then i pick the 2nd one.

You know, I'm beginning to wonder if some of the posters at TPMCafe are incapable of humor. They don't seem to grasp the concept of 'joke', 'tongue-in-cheek', and 'funny'. They are some of the most literal-minded people I've encountered.
And it's not because they're unintelligent. I mean, they despise everything I despise so by (my) definition they're very intelligent. It's that they're so earnest, so serious, they can't have any distance between what they see and themselves, which is the whole foundation of humor.

sounds like the ex-pat hoosier is throwing down the gauntlet. will a speaker for the Literal Liberals arise and defend their humourless perspective?

Part of it is the fact that a lot of real attacks could be humor and a lot of humor could actually be real attacks. In the ridiculous world of politics, the line between satire and non-satire is blurred beyond recognition.

That said, all forms of humor offend me and you should all be ashamed of yourselves.

I find this kind of "humor" to be offensive and irrevocably harmful to the national discourse. You need to take into account how people react to seeing their life's work made into a joke. The man crafts his words carefully, and it is despicable to twist them to satisfy your own childish needs for a quick laugh.

And I bet Barack doesn't like it either...

NKOTB can be the cabinet, and we can elect nothing but boybands to Congress.

[this was my first-ever attempt at a rickroll, btw. i wanted to be original, and not send ppl to the same tired video.. critiques? did i do good?]

You did this? Great job.

Please upload it to YouTube and give us the URL. The collegehumor.com URL kinda gives it away, and many people don't trust TinyURLs anymore.
