We Need Another Serge in Iraq
Every time I attempt to get away, the surge pulls me back in. The surge is everywhere these days; it's almost impossible to escape it.
Today's NYT reports that consumer prices surged in June.
The Atlantic
noted today that there has been a media run on the term surge
ever since President Bush offered up the surge in Iraq as a military
strategy. The surge has become an omnipresent force on the American political landscape.
However, the Iraq strategy has implemented the wrong surge as a path to military success in Iraq. There is only one surge that can blaze a path to political reconciliation and general harmony.
In fact, the surge that is gravely needed is not a surge at all but rather a Serge. That's right, there's only one path to success in Iraq and it is built on the comedic genius of one man: SERGE!
This War/Occupation can only be won through espressos with a little lemon twists; and, there's only one man that has the singular expertise and cultural gravitas to pull this endeavor off: Serge.
A little Youtube clip of the Serge in action.
It's time for a new Serge in Iraq. It's not the complete solution to the puzzle, but as Serge would say:
Testify Serge. Or, as Axel F. [not Axlerod] would respond: get the fu#* out of here.
Or maybe it just time to quit falling for the banana in the tailpipe.

Might I suggest this serge would also be quite an improvement?

At first I thought you might be refering to SERGE STORMS, the highly intelegent, morally ambigous, ADD, ADHD, sociopathic serial killer, main character of Tim Dorsey's histerical Florida novels.
I was dissapointed to realize you wern't but, what an incredible idea for a story setting. Are you reading this Tim Dorsey? Serge and Coleman do Bagdad.
Here it is:
BAGDAD OIL SPILL by, Tim Dorsey
(if you are not familiar with him, check his site out at: www.timdorsey.com )
