Just because the media didn't televise the war protests, it doesn't mean that they didn't happen. And just because the media tells us that a majority of Americans supported the war, it doesn't make it true.

Go to YouTube and type in war protest. You'll see outrage. You'll also see hundreds of thousands of people taking to the streets, not only in the U.S., but in countless nations around the world. Those protests were strong prior to the war, and they remain so.

I don't think the Democrats are vaginas but I do think two things, hard core Democrats that make up the majority of this site, and similarly hard core Republicans, that would for say make up FreeRepublic are myoptic in their outlook and almost incapable of reasoning how others see things. It is rather a small amount of these people on both sides of the total population, 15% of the total population in this country that votes in primaries as hard left or hard right voters.

Then you have a swing vote of independents and libertarians, who for the most part demographically are advanced studies in education, (have degrees) and work complex white collar jobs, and see shades of grey missed by the myoptic. I mean make no mistake about it, there is blue collar republicans and blue collar democrats who see things like a drama, a WWF script of good and evil, true believers as Eric Hoffer understands them who join groups of activity to escape themselves.

The republicans will always have contempt for democrats, they get indignant, "I'm indignant ergo I'm self important." There is always indignation with their perspective and scorn where an argument would persuade someone to join their ideas so they wouldn't feel alone, and their indigantion substantiated.

Independents and libertarians are less likely to follow that line of thought, content to be unique and alone and seeing the advantages of resisting the tyrany of the well intended by miguided myoptic herd.

What is different is that independents and libertarians call Democrats pussies, and for good reasons. Democrats are more socially myoptic than Republicans and Republicans more myoptic that Democrats.

The Republican acts on their myoptic world view, the Democrat emotes on their's.

It is a almost a male/female approach, discuss or act? Impulse or calculate?

Democrats have no convictions but are never short on words.

That is why independents and libertarians often side with republicans in observing the fact that they are all talk and no action. This is why Republicans always win in the national security areas and Democrats promote "social issues."

It seems that the independents and libertarians side because of the national security thing, that is not the case, they instead oppose the social tyrranies to remedy issues that they have no connection with, educated, employed, good incomes, these "programmes" are almost always failures, war on drugs, war on poverty, war on terror, and that is why independents and libertarians see things the way they do.

But Democrats are what they are, Republicans are what they are, it is just that independents and libertarians forced to decide, often side with the Republican when there are pressing issues of an age, challenges to a nation, and all the democrats want to discuss is gay rights, gay marriage, some social crusade, national healthcare, something that doesn't connect with the independents and libertarians.

Democrats always do themselves in by the their own myoptic blindness, Republicans at least in their part of "capitalist greed" connect with the independents and libertarians, but usually alienate them with their "religous rights" crap, democrats appeal with social justice if it is aimed at the individual, but abhore the federal programs and tyranny of the social left.

Democrats are vaginas in closing not because Republicans say so, it is because independents and libertarians agree to the fact.
