"Presumptuous"?
Ah, the "presumptuousness" of Barack Obama... Enough digital ink has been spilled regarding Dana Milbank's hit job this morning, so I won't waste your time going after it. But I will pose a question:
Suppose a presidential candidate e-mailed his supporters a fake news story about how he defeated his Democratic opponent in the 2008 general election -- a year before the election even happened, and long before a single primary vote had been cast (with an attached photo of the confetti-littered victory celebration).
You'd be justified in calling this candidate "presumptuous," no?

Man, I missed that. So did the entire MSM, it seems.

But mcCain does not have the implicit label "uppity nigger." That is why Obama gets slammed, not McCain. This is America.

Obama is so arrogant he truly thinks he has won this election. Isn't anyone telling him that even though he took his little vote getting trip to Iraq and spoke to a crowd of 200,000 in Germany it did nothing for him in the polls. In fact, some polls have McCain ahead by 4% today and McCain is gaining major ground in swing states. America is finally seeing this fool for what he is...an empty suit. You will see his number start to plumett even more as these last days till election move forward, especially after his debate with John McCain. The Obama ship is slowly , but steadily going down.

Oh, that's just John being John -- he's the maverick, you know. He gives shitty speeches just so he won't presumptuously overshadow Obama. He puts people to sleep with his slogan-laden talks so he won't look like he's trying too hard.
When Obama makes brilliant speeches expaining concepts and his policy positions, he is just showing off. When he makes people from all generations feel empowered to make changes, he is really being sooooooooooooo pompous!
And before he went on the trip all the "news" talk was ANTICIPATING that he MIGHT make a GAFFE! That was NEWS REPORTING!?!?!?!
Then he comes back after being wildly successful, and the next "news" was that Americans MIGHT NOT LIKE IT THAT EUROPEANS LIKED HIM SO MUCH! Phew!
I guess it is really great that everyone knows that McCain is a pain in the ass and a loose cannon - so no worries about that Euro-trash sucking up to him and getting our allies back on board.
Will anyone ever see the light except Keith Olberman? Probably not.

Rachel Maddow had it right on Race to the White House..this entire narrative smacks of racial bias. No one thinks McCain is presumptous when he talks about when he is President and what he will do nor when he gives weekly 'radio' addresses. Only Obama is presumed to be presumptious when he comports himself in a Presidential manner...guess folks of color have a lot of nerve daring to even be percieved as Presidential let alone actually strive to be elected to the office!!
That sycophant harold Ford Jr had the gall to say he saw no racial overtones at all!

Harold Ford = ssssssssssnake
And that flaming racist Pat Buchanan continuously calling Ludicrus (sp?) Obamas people (and throwing in Rev Wright and Father Plueger as the cherry on the top!)
