NYTimes Getting a Bit Squirrely About the New, General Election Edition of Barack
Below is a link to an Editorial, not an article, from today's NYTimes:

I have no particular problem with the more centrist positions O has recently taken.
I have always had a deep-seated problem with the religious schtick, and still believe it is going to come back to haunt him. (Those Wright tapes have not been erased by Nixon's secretary.)
Happy B-Day, USA!

Changing your decision because less than twenty thousand names,(many multiple signs up by people included) demand that you do so, and you know that changing would not stop the bill from being passed, would be PANDERING. Thank you Senator Obama for not engaging in pointless micro pandering.

It's amazing to me that so many supporters of Obama - who appear to be intelligent and politically savvy - seem to have so little trust or belief in Obama's judgments.
Many have asserted in the past they consider him to be smart, adept, knowledgeable about government issues/policies and vested in the well-being of our country - yet they are so quick to belittle and denigrate his judgment.
Did they consider that because he is privy to things we are not and after he's taken all facts into consideration this is the best decision to be made for all the right reasons? He's looking at whole picture - short term & long term?
I've spent hours researching his record in Illinois and the US Senate. I've read his books and his policies, goals, etc. he's published in his POTUS campaign.
Factual data proves he's not a stupid, dishonest nor careless man and has a pretty good history of making good decisions. I believe in his integrity and trust that he has all our best interests in heart and mind. (No, I'm not blindly following and will take him to task when believe it's necessary.)
Bottom line, do you believe our country will be better or worse off if Obama is not elected POTUS? Based on your answer so shall you vote.
I'm voting for Obama for President and have chosen to trust his judgment. And that's my vote!

AS,
My TPM Profile explicitly states that I am non-partisan.
I do not trust any politician, including Obama.
I think he is the better choice over McCain.

Typical cult of personality view.
Obama's not stupid, nor is he as special as he would have had you all believe. He's the most polticial of them all in the sense that he got your hopes up for something different, only to turn out to be what some of us suspected, not that there is much consolation in saying "I told you so"
Why are people that don't follow the "accepted" view around here called "trolls'? How can I be a troll--I at least have my photo up even!

Even though TPM doesn't say so anywhere in the information pages, apparently you are supposed to be an avowed unquestioning obamatron to participate without being called names around here. scary thing is, that's really the same kind of support bush enjoyed among his base back when it started.

P1,
Yes, the site is certainly pro-Obama.
Yes, any critical comments about O can lead to a firestorm of blind faith.
But there are also many contributors willing to have a reasoned discussion.
At least at this left-Blog, there's space for all. The right-Blogs, sites, usually don't have any comment space at all.
