NYT Op-Ed: MacAuliffe Strategy Ruining Obama's Chances?
Today on HuffPo Donald Sutherland directs our attention to the NYTimes OpEd piece on the effect that Terry MacAuliffe seems to be having on the Obama campaign. (see below for link)
He offers the scary interpretation of Obama's turn to the right-- that it is a strategy on the part of the Clintonites to discourage Obama's progressive supporters, weakening them sufficiently so that the "on hold" Clinton candidacy can make a comeback.
Whether this is a conscious strategy or not, it does seem worthy of remark that it seems to be only after the Obama/Clinton rapprochement took place, that Obama has been weighing in on a number of issues (some unnecessarily) which position him to the right. Do any TPMers know enough about MacAuliffe strategies and positions to comment on this? Coincidence?

I've been thinking this same thing! His posture started changing as soon as he started taking on clinton advisors. It is wrong, wrong wrong for him to listen to them. #1, they did a lousy job for Hillary and #2, they have absolutely no interest in seeing him succeed. None whatsoever! I have felt like a lone voice in the wilderness and I'm glad to hear someone else say it.

I see, you haven't read his book. Nothing he has said or done seems out of character for a pargamatist with leftist leanings and a strong disdain for rigid dogma. The rigid dogmatists and ideologues hate it, I know. But the "rightward shift" is a GOP-Netroots fabrication.

LOL
Yeah, anything you don't like must be some sort of evil plot.
What do you do in the morning, when you look at yourself in the mirror? Tell yourself: "Damn it! The Venusians have once again turned me into a bloated, pasty-faced ugly creature who never gets any attention from the opposite sex!"
Uncle O. is a fraud.
