"Nation of Whiners" - MSM to the rescue
Thanks to TPM for this video mashup showing how the MSM has bent over backwards to explain away, dismiss and otherwise spin away Phil Gramm's words that America is a "nation of whiners".

How shameful and biased can they get? What's most infuriating is that if the tables were turned, they wouldn't be making this effort. Imagine the outrage if a high-ranking Obama campaign person had said this. Oh wait, you don't have to imagine -- just check back to when Obama made that "clinging to guns" gaffe. Did the muppets on ABC This Week try to explain that away?

This is the element that's so maddening. We've all huffed and puffed about it, but it's truly incredible that Democrats are always on the defensive, no matter what they say. But I guess 30-some years of thumping away at the "liberal media" finally paid off.
Another indication why it's so vitally important to get the WH back and have a president that can restore some respect to the idea of being liberal.
