Who would Ventura hurt more; Coleman or Franken, and if Ventura wins, which party will he caucus with?
Extract:
Former Gov. Jesse Ventura of Minnesota is hinting more strongly than ever that he will enter the state’s race for U.S. Senate.
The
pending candidacy by Ventura — a flamboyant professional wrestler
before he entered the political arena — would add to the cost,
publicity and unpredictability of an already expensive, high-profile,
tossup race pitting incumbent Republican Norm Coleman against Al Franken, a former Saturday Night Live funnyman and longtime acerbic Democratic Party activist.

Last I heard Franken was losing by double digits. This might be a welcome change.
A 3rd viable candidate should throw a wrench into that election.
Maybe Ventura and Schwarzenegger can run on a ticket together in 2012?

You do know that Arnold is foreign born, and can not run for National office.

If Ventura gets elected, he'll introduce an amendment to make an exception for former Governors.

If I had to guess, and this guess is based on no real information, I'd say it hurts Franken more. They both appeal to the voters who don't want professional politicians in office.

If Ventura runs, Coleman will win. No doubt about it. Ventura has joined the Alex Jones loony club, so he has virtually no chance of winning, but he could take Franken out of the race if he runs.
