McCain Campaign = Mystery Science Theater 3000?
The way the McCain campaign has treated this election season so far has really reminded me of Mystery Science Theater 3000...
It's obvious they are infatuated with Barack Obama's every move, and I get this feeling they sit in a dark room with popcorn and Bon Bons watching Obama on TV, a conference call phone with reporters online, and randomly yelling things at the screen that they notice.
Chomp chomp
"Obama is wrong! It is never 'inappropriate' to visit our men and women in the military."
Sluurrpp
"Presumptious premature victory speech!"
"Lose the war, win the campaign Obama!"
Crunch crunch
"The surge! The surge!"
I'm sorry but I just feel like McCain has done nothing to talk about what he actually plans to do in his presidency. All they do is watch Obama's move every moment and yell at odd criticism that borders on farce comedy. It's a backwards politics that is really making Obama look like such a front runner, he may want to start sending postcards back to McCain.

And worst of all, they have Mike instead of Joel.

That's some low quality snark there.

Mike was OK in supporting parts, but not in the lead.

"That's not change we can believe in" was pretty funny itself.

Listening to Johnny-one-note-McCain is
like the first week of the kid's
violin lessons. Squawk, squeek, squawk
noun-verb-surge. It grates on the nerves.
Then when the REAL facts about deaths
in Iraq since the surge and find nearly
30,000 deaths...including 121 America
service-men suicides!, 3600 Iraqi
Security deaths AND 22,000 CIVILIAN
deaths, it makes McCain look absolutely
out of touch with reality. A lie is a
lie, especially when you say you are
presidential material.

There's no mystery to it. It seems to be the consensus of the entire political establishment that this election is about Barack Obama: that if he can convince people he's not too big a risk, he'll win.
The entire rationale of the GOP is to demolish Obama.
It's McCain's too.
Whether or not he's making a good job of it is a separate issue - his main problem is mental discipline.

Hey, don't be sorry...you're right.
Although, in fairness to McCain, he did make that awful speech about it now being 2013, and here's how things have changed...one of the more cringe inducing moments of this bad campaign.
Apparently, the McCain campaign mailed out 15 pages of criticisms of Obama's excellent adventure. I think at some point, the press is going to start pointing out that McCain doesn't offer anything but criticism of Obama.
Actually, the press probably is never going to point that out, but we can hope, can't we?
