John McCain Explains How War Is A Great Way To Pay Off Our Huge National Debt.
John McCain unveils the real reason why America has accumulated such an enormous national debt.
Republican Eisenhower settled for less than winning in the Korean war, so of course he could not then pay down the national debt.
Republican Ford cut and ran from the Vietnam war, so of course he could not then pay down then national debt.
Republican Bush One settled for less than complete Victory in Gulf War One, so of course he could not then pay down the national debt.
John McCain is onto something: Our huge national debt was created by
three Republican Presidents failing to fight on until they won their
wars, and could not then apply any peace dividends toward elimination off
the national debt.
Fear not; all is not yet lost. Applying the McCain War Logic, all we have to do is start up four or five brand new major wars, and not quit until we have achieved complete victories, and we then will end up with huge revenue surpluses.
Brilliant! Hand that McCain genius a Guinness. Brilliant!

Nope, sorry. Things really got out of control in the early to mid-60s with the new war in Vietnam (started in earnest under JFK) and simultaneous public works bills (The Great Society).
This was brought to you by a great Democrat: LBJ (whom if not for the Vietnam war, may have gone down as one of our best domestic policy presidents the country produced -- must as Nixon was one of the best foreign policy presidents that America has produced.)
Errors in judgements do not line up conveniently with party dogmatic views of the world.
Having said that, I once saw an old bumpersticker from the early 70s Vietnam era:

But apparently you do not get satire. John McCain is the one who is claiming that Victory is the way to pay off the national debt. It was three Republican Presidents who ended the three conflicts that I cited. McCain is not talking about how wars started. He is claiming that making sure that you attain complete victories is how you get an economic bonanza that will eradicate the national debt.
He said it; and I am merely pointing out that those three Republican Presidents really missed the opportunity to erase the national debt, by not applying the McCain War Machine Economic Doctrine. That is why we have to start more wars, so that we can make up for where those three war time Republican Presidents fell short.
More wars will allow John McCain to pay of the national debt much faster. Perhaps he should even consider starting a new civil war; that way he will be able to retain all the fantastic economic benefits right on our home soil.
Brilliant: Give McCain another Guinness. Brilliant!
