Jindal for VP - inspired!

avatar

John McCain stopping in Louisiana to meet with potential VP candidate, Gov. Bobby "the Exorcist" Jindal.

This is an inspired choice to succeed the Evil One in residence at the Naval Observatory.

Here are my thoughts on Obama's picks:

We are having a Jindal conversation over here.

I think it is possible to criticize Jindal as an ultra-conservative, but I wouldn't go too far with the "exorcist· business. This is a quite normal ceremony in the Catholic Church, as you will see by following this link. There are quite reputable priests who specialize in exorcism.

So if you start disqualifying a practicing Catholic for attending an exorcism, you might run into some stony stares in the Democrats blue collar base.

Umm, I know lots of blue collar Catholics, and none of them think exorcism is anything but kooky. No one is getting disqualified, he's just being revealed as kooky for participating (not just attending) an exorcism.

More kookiness from your link:

"with the spread of Christianity and the disappearance of paganism, demonic power has been curtailed, and cases of obsession have become much rarer. It is only Catholic missionaries labouring in pagan lands, where Christianity is not yet dominant, who are likely to meet with fairly frequent cases of possession.

In Christian countries authentic cases of possession sometimes occur and every priest, especially if he be a parish priest, or pastor, is liable to be called upon to perform his duty as exorcist."

I just saw this on YouTube. Jindal is hot.

Jindal's the man!

He can 'heal' McCain's campaign and 'exorcise' some 'energy' into it.

(not to leave out bringing McCain back form the dead should he fall over in his own drool..)

Jindal's got most of the Obama media pluses but a much clearer ideological profile. Whether or not you like that profile is another matter. But at least he has a firm point of view.

I have no clear view of Obama except that he really would loooooooooooooove to be president and will say and do anything to get there. I have come to the conclusion that Barack Obama is a "political lightning rod", whose mission is to take all the progressive energy in US politics and divert it harmlessly into the ground.

I usually get high after I post, but maybe that's just me..

It's just you.
