Let us now see to what extent the media will gush with eulogy for this one.
May he burn in hell.
I've never delighted in any man's death, but man, am I tempted. Time for me to pray on that one.
As for the media...after yesterday, I'm too disgusted with them to even care. (Rachel Maddow excepted.)
I wondered what I felt when I woke this morning. Now I know it was the last hold of paleo-conservativism lifting from the state of North Carolina. I don't want to celebrate the man's death, but I can't say we'll miss him.
The Obama campaign has a big 4th of July weekend voter registration drive on in NC. Personally, I think the best possible way to honor Jesse's "legacy" is to put NC in Obama's column come November.
Jesse Helms and Larry Harmon, Bozo the Clown died today. I don't want to celebrate either death. Not a cool thing to do. However, I will miss Bozo the Clown because he tried to bring laughter to the world. That's something we can all mourn, no?
Buh-bye.
Gee....
and all these years I've had so little to celebrate on July 4th!
At last - something to toast and celebrate every year for the rest of my life!!!!
If I were a theist, I would wish him eternal rotting in Hell. But I'm afraid I don't believe all that silliness.
Here's hoping his final years were agonizing and lonely.
Helms reveled in the grief he caused others and the lives he selectively sacrificed to the pyre of narrow-mindedness. I have no doubt he would have rooted for der Fuehrer if Hitler had hailed from Greensboro. Now they can torment each other for eternity and trade stories on lunch break. ptooh!
