Is Obama Controlling his message?
What is going on? Did I miss something Obama has not changed his mind but everyone seems to think it. My friendsl who knows how much the Iraq war influences my vote have stopped by today to question what this change means to me. "He didn't change his mind" Is it the lack of force in delivery that makes people believe he is backing down because it is not the words. It is the same thing different day. Another day, and McCain is still controlling the message.

There seems to be a lack of direction in Obama's campaign now...they're being reactive instead of leading at the moment and the repubs are taking advantage of it. I've actually wondered if he is getting bad advice from some of the new clinton advisors he has hired, or maybe he has too many voices pulling him in different directions. His primary machine was sleek and did an amazing job. I hope he intends to have those people run the GE show.

But I remember many people were depressed during the primaries when the campaign kept talking about delegate math instead of more emotive messages.
In fact I think we all need to bear in mind that the primaries only ended a few weeks ago and Obama's main focus since then has been to reintroduce himself to the general, rather than primary, electorate. Think how long McCain's had to do that - something like four months - and what a balls-up he made of it.

Obama is going to use McCain's message of attach for leverage.
He did warn everyone on the cusp of the general election that this was going to be the method of attack.
McCain's techniques do not result in any benefit to his image nor fundraising. He just comes off as a grumpy confused old man to the general public.
