Has Karl Rove really fled the country?

avatar

"Of course not!" was my first reaction. Then I began to play with the possibility in my mind and I found the thought highly amusing. Then I remembered what a fellow critter at "The Zoo" said about an impeached President, who wouldn't be allowed to grant pardons. Then I remembered an article in "The Nation". Then I thought, why not?

One can only hope that Karl is gone. If he can be proved to have any connection with Bush and Cheney's work with torture though he should be careful. If any member nation presses charges, any other nation who signed the United Nations convention against torture has to detain the charged and begin extradition. Pinochet, who as president of Chile, ordered torture was detained in London when the Spanish government charged him for torture. Bush and Cheney stand the same risk if they travel after they leave office. We should clean up our own mess with those two, but if we don't, I hope the world will. Jerks!
