FREEDOM OF SPEECH & THE INTERNET
FREE SPEECH!!! There is no concept in America held more dear than our right to express ourselves without censorship. We have the right to say what we want, when we want…but there are some limitations. If you exercise your right of free speech and lie to a newspaper; the paper may be sued for libel. If you go on TV and lie about someone; you may be sued for slander. You can’t yell “fire” in a crowded theater without suffering criminal consequences. You have the right to tell your co-worker that you saw his wife with another man…but is it the right thing to do?

I once went to a friend and told her her husband was having an affair. It was difficult but it was the right thing to do. What's your point?

Our ability and right to communicate freely can be costly. Messages, no matter how couched, can deliver salvation or ruin to the recipient(s).
That old adage, 'It's not what you say, but how you say it', is incomplete. I submit it's the 'motivation' that sets the foundation and tone of the message. No matter the venue.
Words should not be thoughtlessly scattered about like cheap confetti, but rather thoughtfully dispensed as befitting their value.
'Free Speech' is but the result of 'Freedom'. And Freedom is priceless, but certainly not without cost.
Good post. Rec'd.
